This week at a glance…

It has been a momentous week in the Star Wars universe. Not only were we treated to a plethora of fantastic new material from the Future of the Force team, but the exciting title of Star Wars Episode VIII was finally revealed to the world. The revelation of The Last Jedi was swiftly embraced by the greatest fans in the world, despite a minority who believed the title unworthy of a Star Wars Saga title. This however, was not enough to dissuade the Future of the Force team whom were amongst the majority of excited fans rejoicing at the title of the next chapter of the Skywalker saga.

And so, we enter the weekly review with a combination of excitement and hope. The force is with us, and we are one with The Last Jedi

NEW GUEST WRITER:

Once again, the Future of the Force team opened the door to a brand-new guest writer in Megan. The talented writer, who joins us from the United States offered us a window into the impressive Star Wars: A New Hope radio drama which boasts the incredible voice talents of Mark Hamill and Anthony Daniels. STAR WARS REBELS:

This week, regular contributor Patty Hammond returned with an incredible insight into the relationship between Star Wars Rebels characters Zeb and AP-5. The regular odd couple proved to be quite the dynamic duo and Patty shared her vision of an entertaining sitcom starring the pair here:

THE LAST JEDI:

With the revelation of Episode VIII’s stunning title, both Future of the Force co-founder Stewart Gardiner and News Editor Phil Roberts were unable to contain their excitement and they shared their infectious enthusiasm with us here:

If that wasn’t enough to drive us into a delirium, we were treated to a shiny new poster to accentuate the announcement of the stunning new entry into the Star Wars saga. Similar in tone to The Force Awakens teaser poster, The Last Jedi one-sheet offers us the classic Star Wars logo in the traditional Return of the Jedi red pigment that triggers an awesome sense of nostalgia.

STAR WARS LEGACY:

This week, Phil Roberts continued his nostalgic review of the Attack of the Clones era graphic novels which focus open the greatest bounty hunters of the period. Following on from his review of the Jango Fett edition, Phil opened the pages of the Zam Wesell instalment and found an improved sequel within. But did it live up to the hype? check out his insights here:

AND FINALLY:

Last week saw the arrival of the third wave of action figures from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The merchandise appeared to be restricted to the import outlets but that all changed this week. Ever reliable UK retailer Tesco surprised us all when the elusive figures arrived upon the supermarket shelves. With both Future of the Force Photographer eggmanstudiosig and co-founder Stewart Gardiner first on the scene, Stewart was quick to share both the scoop and his excitement with us here:

It was another fantastic week for the Future of the Force team, from The Last Jedi to Zam Wesell and debutant writer Megan, the team are covering every angle unearthed within the Star Wars universe and tackling the hottest subjects head on. Only the force knows what lies ahead of us in the coming weeks but rest assured, the Future of the Force team will be on the front lines bringing you the best Star Wars content from across the Outer Rim territories and beyond…
