With the build-up, to Star Wars Celebration and the 40th Anniversary of A New Hope looming on the horizon, the Lucasfilm merchandise train has started its engine and released the incredible new range of commemorative Black Series action figures that have appeared upon the Toys “R” Us store shelves. If that wasn’t enough to get the juices flowing, the countdown to the DVD/Blu Ray release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has begun and the excitement is building…

Accentuating the fans eagerness, Andrew in Belfast turned his attention closer to home and discovered the roots of Rogue One’s General Jan Dodonna, actor Ian McElhinney. Preparing for her adventure inside the hallways of this year’s Star Wars Celebration event in Orlando Florida, Patty Hammond got to grips with the ultimate party planner…and News Editor Phil Roberts, climbed aboard his Land Speeder and went off in search of the commemorative 40th Anniversary figures at Toys “R” Us.

From the Emerald Isle to Yavin 4…Going Rogue in Ireland:

This week, Future of the Force co-founder Andrew in Belfast returned to his roots and took a closer look at the actor charged with bringing General Jan Dodonna back to the screen for the first time in forty years. The Rebel commander’s origins were traced back to his Belfast roots and Andrew lifted the lid on the man behind the character here:

Hot on the heels of her inside look into the exciting panels and events taking place within the hallowed walls of Star Wars Celebration Orlando, Future of the Force contributing editor Patty Hammond discovered the ultimate planning guide for the hottest event in the Star Wars calendar. There and back again…to Toys “R” Us:

With the news that the all new Star Wars 40th Anniversary action figures were arriving upon the store shelves of Toy “R” Us this week, Future of the Force News Editor Phil Roberts, jumped into his Land speeder and navigated the harsh terrain of the Jundland Wastes to discover a bounty of Hasbro goodies. Returning home with R2-D2, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker in hand sent Phil into a delirium and he shared his excited nostalgia ride here:

It was another extraordinary week for the Future of the Force team, from the beauty of the emerald isle to the release of the 40th Anniversary commemorative action figures, the team are covering every angle unearthed within the Star Wars universe and tackling the hottest subjects head on.
