Star Wars: The Force Is Strong With The Last Jedi Trailer
Rian Johnson reveals the trailer for his entry into the Star Wars franchise…
“It’s time for the Jedi to end…” Luke Skywalker: Star Wars: The Last Jedi
With the build-up to Star Wars: The Last Jedi well under way, all eyes fell upon the movies panel at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando Florida. With guests that included Rian Johnson, Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Kathleen Kennedy, the average fan could have been forgiven for spiralling into mayhem as we were treated to our first insights into the much-anticipated movie.
We were not disappointed.
After confirming that Luke Skywalker would play a significantly important role in The Last Jedi, Kathleen Kennedy showed images of the Jedi Master wearing robes like those worn in Return of The Jedi. The Lucasfilm producer was reluctant to reveal any details regarding Rey’s lineage and when pressed, Daisy Ridley refused to let any details slip…with the exception that upon encountering Luke Skywalker, for the very first time…Rey must manage the disappointment of him not being as she had envisioned. But with the introduction of John Boyega, we were treated to a more in depth look at the path Finn will be undertaking. Together, they revealed that in The Last Jedi…Finn will not be messing around and his relationship with Poe Dameron will only deepen throughout the movie.
In addition to these fantastic insights…we were introduced to a new character in Rose, a Resistance engineer who is destined to be thrust on the adventure of a life time. The character portrayed by actor Kelly Marie Tran will play an unlikely hero, but will be instrumental alongside Finn as the story unfolds. And then, it was confirmed that legendary droid BB-8 will be vital to proceedings in The Last Jedi.
If that wasn’t enough…we were treated to a brand-new and super nostalgic teaser poster, like that of the original release one-sheet of Return of the Jedi in 1983.
And finally, …
Rian Johnson introduced us to the long-awaited teaser trailer for the movie due to arrive in cinemas across the world this Christmas…YOU can enjoy it here:
